Three idiots in a London Taxi, on a mission to the Sahara Desert. From London to Morocco via Europe and back, with one spare tyre and a case of beer. Where we will stop nobody knows.
After a drunken night out, it was decided that a drive down to the desert in an old London Taxi was to be our next adventure. So, Iain, Bendigo and Nathan set about bidding for a taxi. Within three days we purchased Hackney Harriot (a 1992 London Fairway Taxi) for £400. Three weeks later and a few small modifications, namley, a passenger seat, a bed and an air horn, we were less than set to go.
So we headed off on a trip of biblical proportions. A rough route through France, Spain and Portugal and then over to Morocco, was in store for us. Heading south to the sun and the desert our main objective.
Our expertise involved Iain's mechanical & culinary know how, Bendigo's entertainment & logistical skills and Nathan's eletrical & technical support. Fair to say, Iain hadn't touched an engine for 20 years (let alone a diesle one), Bendigo forgot his clown suit and Nathan thought AC/DC on a plug was an advert for a rock band.
Hopefuly we will make it home...........
